My passion for languages began at just five years old thanks to my travel-loving parents and their first house in France.
After completing a BA Hons degree in Languages and Linguistics (French and Swedish) at the University of York, I then spent
15 years in the airline industry, in the UK and Canada. During this time, I also completed a Higher Certificate in Law with the Open University.
Since 2012, I have been working as a translator and proofreader in France, specialising in the aeronautical and tourism sectors. In 2022, I decided to formalise my experience by becoming an accredited proofreader and copy editor through the College of Media and Publishing.
I also work as a copywriter and freelance writer, with articles and short stories published in magazines, such as Reader's Digest, France Today, The People's Friend, Yours, Go English, Living France and Yorkshire Life.
